20 things I love about women:
You will have an immediate, unspoken bond with any other woman you pass on the street when it’s late in the evening.
Shared secret outfit language. From jeans and a nice top to “I’m dressing cute,” you can usually end up on the same page. And if you didn’t, it would still be okay.
They will study a restaurant menu and confirm with you that it meets your criteria before they confirm the reservation.
“Did you make it home okay?” they will ask. You will respond, because you are wondering the same thing about them.
They bring small but important things over when they come to hang out, like hot chocolate mix or fruit snacks.
Birthday or “just because” cards from close female friends in loopy, loving handwriting.
If you ask where their top or skirt or belt came from, they’ll usually tell you. And they might even tell you if it was on sale.
They will have lipgloss or perfume or an extra earring back in their purse. You might hold onto it by accident, and it will always remind you of when someone helped you out.
If you’re too warm at an event a woman is hosting, she will offer you a t-shirt to borrow for the remainder of the night.
You can cry and scream with abandonment and other women will not be alarmed or disturbed. They will understand.
Regrouping with women in the bathroom at the bar whether or not you came there together. They will ask about your life and genuinely care about your answers.
If you would like your picture taken, women will make sure you’re happy with the results.
They too, might also tear up at the same movie you are embarrassed that you tear up over. Same goes with TV, or honestly, even commercials.
“Should we just get a bottle?”
A woman can always sense when you might need a new scented candle.
Emoji usage.
They understand the struggle of expensive hair care, hair removal, and nail care. Women will commiserate with you over your rituals and have respect for your personal routine.
If you’re thirsty but you don’t have any water, a woman might offer you some of hers.
If you’re thinking about starting a new hobby or trying out an activity, women will tell you what a fantastic idea it is and that you should do it.
We’re all a part of the same club, no matter how different we all might be.
Some of my favorite things girls have done recently:
